Should এর ব্যবহার

should একটি modal auxilary verb. should এর অর্থ হচ্ছে "উচিত".

১. কোন কাজ করা উচিত বা করা কর্তব্য বুঝাতে should মূল verb এর পূর্বে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
structure :- subject + should + verb + object + extension.
1. They should be more dutiful.
2. You should respect your parents.

২. কোন কাজ করা উচিত নয় এরূপ বুঝাতে should এর পর not+verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।

1. They should not quarrel with one another.
2. You should not run in the sun.

should এর আরো কয়েকটি ব্যবহার-
১.বর্তমান সময়ে কিছু ঘটা উচিত এরূপ অনুমান প্রকাশেshould ব্যবহৃত হয়।
1. Students should be more responsible now.
2. You should be working hard to make proper use of time.

২. অতীতে কোন কাজ করা উচিত ছিল কিন্তু করা হয়নি এরূপ ভাবধারা প্রকাশে should ব্যবহৃত হয়।

structure : subject+should+have+p.p form of verb.
1.You should have taught your son.
2.They should have done the work earlier.

৩. পূর্বের কোন বিষয় সম্পর্কে অনুমান প্রকাশে should ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
1. She should be pleased to see you.

৪.সকল person এর বিনয় প্রকাশ করতেshould ব্যবহার হয়।
1. I should like to help you.

৫.সকল person এ ইচ্ছা/প্রয়োজন/শর্ত/অনুমোদন/ উপদেশ বুঝাতে should ব্যবহার হয়।
1. I should know the truth.
2. You should stop crying.

--[should is also used as the past form of "shall"]-

Sub + have/has to be + verb-এর Past Participle form.

1. শিক্ষদের সম্মান করতে হবে ।
Teachers have to be respected.

2. দরিদ্রদের সাহায্য করতে হবে ।
The poor have to be helped.

3. রেডিওটি মেরামত করতে হবে ।
The radio has to be repaired.

4. টাকাটি পরিশোধ করতে হবে ।
The money has to be paid.

5. চিটিটা সংশোধন করতে হবে ।
The letter has to be corrected.

6. বাড়িটি রং করতে হবে ।
The house has to be painted.

7. এক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে প্রশ্নটির জবাব দিতে হবে ।
The answer of the question has to be given within one weak.

8. মে পাঁচ তারিখের আগে টাকা জমা দিতে হবে ।
The money has to be deposited before May 5.
