(a).everyone, everybody, someone, somebody, anyone, anybody, no one, nobody, none, each কোন বাক্যের Subject হলে উহা ব্যক্তিকেনির্দেশ করেএবং এক্ষেত্রে Tag Question এর Subject হবে they.
e.g. Everybody saw you, didn’t they?
Nobody has seen him, have they?
Everyone is waiting, aren’t they?
(b).all of us/some of us/most of us/everyone of us/none of us কোন বাক্যেরSubject হলে Tag Question এর Subject হবেwe.
e.g. We are none of us getting any younger, are we?
Some of us can sing well, can’t we?
(c).everything, something, anything, nothing কোনবাক্যের Subject হলে উহা বস্তুকে নির্দেশকরে এবংএ ক্ষেত্রেTag Question এর Subject হবে it.
e.g. Nothing was done, was it?
Everything is ready, isn’t it?
(d). neither, seldom, hardly, hardly ever, scarcely, barely, rarely, few, little বাক্যে সাধারণত negative অর্থে ব্যবহূত হয়।তাই এসববাক্যে not বসে না।
e.g. He hardly comes here, does he?
Neither of them did it, did they?
He has few friends, has he?
A barking dog seldom bites, does it?
(e). This / That মূল বাক্যের Subject হলে Tag Question এit বসে; আর These / Those মূল বাক্যের Subject হলে Tag Question এ they বসে।
This is a book, isn’t it? These are dolls, aren’t they?
That was Mr. Hassan on the phone, wasn’t it? Those are pencils, aren’t they?
(f). Subject এর পরে need / needs থাকলে Tag Question এdon’t / doesn’t ব্যবহূত হয় এবংneedn’t এর পরিবর্তে need ব্যবহূত হয়।
He needs a pen, doesn’t he? I need a book, don’t I?
We need not go there, need we? You needn’t worry, need you?
(g). Subject এর পরে used to থাকলেTag Question এ didn’t বসে।
He used to play football, didn’t he?
(h). ট্রেন, জাহাজ, দেশ, বিমান, চাঁদ, পৃথিবী, বসন্তপ্রভৃতিকে Feminine gender হিসেবে গন্যকরা হয়।সূতরাং এরামূল বাক্যেরSubject হলে Tag Question এর Subject হিসাবেshe বসে। তবেএসব ক্ষেত্রেit ও বসতেপারে।
The moon shines at night, doesn’t she/it?
(i). আবার sun, death, summer, war, winter প্রভৃতিকে Masculine gender হিসেবে গন্যকরা হয়।সূতরাং এরামূল বাক্যেরSubject হলে Tag Question এর Subject হিসাবেhe বসে। তবেএসব ক্ষেত্রেit ও বসতেপারে।
Death is common to all, isn’t he/it?
(j). শিশু, ইতর প্রাণী বা জড়বস্তুমূল বাক্যেরSubject হলে Tag Question এর Subject হিসাবেit বসে। The baby is smiling, isn’t it?
